The Society's archive and library is housed at The Birchcliffe Centre, Hebden Bridge. The collection is available for members to use on the second Wednesday and fourth Saturday of each month.&#13;
&#13;
Donations to the archive are welcomed. Contributions of photos and documents, even from the recent past. &#13;

A catalogue of the Society's is available on their website..&#13;

One of the many projects the Society is currently working on is the Gibson and Sutcliffe papers. The materials had been lying in a room at Croft House in Hebden Bridge, undisturbed for over 50 years. One collection belonged to Abraham Gibson of Greenwood Lee and the other to Sutcliffe &amp; Sutcliffe, architects.&#13;
&#13;
Members of the Society are also transcribing gravestones in Heptonstall churchyard, providing easy access to local information for genealogists.</text>

                <text>The church, dedicated to St Thomas a Beckett, first dates from the mid-13th century but was re-constructed and enlarged on several occasions over subsequent centuries. By the mid-19th century it was structurally in poor condition and then was badly damaged by a severe gale in 1847.  Instead of repairing it was decided to replace with a new building in the same churchyard and this church, dedicated to St Thomas the Apostle, opened in 1854. The old church was largely demolished but today its ruins are preserved.</text>

                <text>The church, dedicated to St Thomas a Beckett, first dates from the mid-13th century but was re-constructed and enlarged on several occasions over subsequent centuries. By the mid-19th century it was structurally in poor condition and then was badly damaged by a severe gale in 1847.  Instead of repairing it was decided to replace with a new building in the same churchyard and this church, dedicated to St Thomas the Apostle, opened in 1854. The old church was largely demolished but today its ruins are preserved.</text>

One of the many projects the Society is currently working on is the Gibson and Sutcliffe papers. The materials had been lying in a room at Croft House in Hebden Bridge, undisturbed for over 50 years. One collection belonged to Abraham Gibson of Greenwood Lee and the other to Sutcliffe &amp; Sutcliffe, architects.&#13;
&#13;
Members of the Society are also transcribing gravestones in Heptonstall churchyard, providing easy access to local information for genealogists.</text>

One collection belonged to Abraham Gibson of Greenwood Lee and the other to Sutcliffe &amp; Sutcliffe, architects.&#13;
&#13;
Members of the Society are also transcribing gravestones in Heptonstall churchyard, providing easy access to local information for genealogists.</text>

One of the many projects the Society is currently working on is the Gibson and Sutcliffe papers. The materials had been lying in a room at Croft House in Hebden Bridge, undisturbed for over 50 years. One collection belonged to Abraham Gibson of Greenwood Lee and the other to Sutcliffe &amp; Sutcliffe, architects.&#13;
&#13;
Members of the Society are also transcribing gravestones in Heptonstall churchyard, providing easy access to local information for genealogists.</text>

One of the many projects the Society is currently working on is the Gibson and Sutcliffe papers. The materials had been lying in a room at Croft House in Hebden Bridge, undisturbed for over 50 years. One collection belonged to Abraham Gibson of Greenwood Lee and the other to Sutcliffe &amp; Sutcliffe, architects.&#13;
&#13;
Members of the Society are also transcribing gravestones in Heptonstall churchyard, providing easy access to local information for genealogists.</text>

Members of the Society are also transcribing gravestones in Heptonstall churchyard, providing easy access to local information for genealogists.</text>

One of the many projects the Society is currently working on is the Gibson and Sutcliffe papers. The materials had been lying in a room at Croft House in Hebden Bridge, undisturbed for over 50 years. One collection belonged to Abraham Gibson of Greenwood Lee and the other to Sutcliffe &amp; Sutcliffe, architects.&#13;

Members of the Society are also transcribing gravestones in Heptonstall churchyard, providing easy access to local information for genealogists.</text>
