This bay is occupied by Wilcroft House. 6-light double chamfered mullioned window with king mullion to right, 4- light window over to 1st floor. Quoins. Right hand return wall has wide gable with central doorway with double tie-stone jambs and monolithic lintel, chamfered surround. All windows are chamfered mullioned. 2-light over doorway and oculus to apex (blocked); 6-light with same over to 1st floor. One gable stack and 3 others. Attached to west end is early C20 house (Wilcroft house) of no particular interest.&#13;

Left hand return wall has 2-light window to ground floor only and 2-light window in outshut to left of doorway with dated lintel, small stack to corner of outshut which has lean-to roof. Addition to left of wing has wide window to each floor. Barn has semi-circular arched cart entry with simple Venetian window over. Left hand return wall has wide coped gable with kneelers which sweeps down lower over aisle of barn. Rear has 4 doorways to cottages and flat faced mullioned windows to 1st floor of 3 lights and 6 lights. 4 stacks to ridge. Porch has two-light window and doorway with segmental arch covering original doorway with broad chamfered surround; two-light flat faced mullioned window to first floor; three-light window with cavetto surround and mullions; doorway with monolithic jambs and heavy lintel; five-light window.&#13;

Rear has two windows of two lights; three-light window; six-light window with two king mullions to housebody; six-light flat faced mullioned window. Three stacks to ridge and one other.&#13;

Interior: housebody has segmental arched fireplace with cyma moulded surround and reeded spine beams and floor joists. Post and truss survive from earlier building with shortened king post and angle struts. Soffit of tie-beam has mortice holes for close studding.&#13;

Pair of lodges (one occupied) linked by impressive archway, c.1868 for Joseph Priestley Edwards of Castle Carr (q.v.). Hammer-dressed stone, flat bitumen roof. Castle style. 2-storey lodges each with tall 2-light double chamfered mullioned window to each floor. Embattled parapet with stepped crenellation carried on false machicolation. Tudor-arched doorways with sunken spandrels and 2-light window over. Tall stair tower rises higher with arrow-slits. Rear has rectangular single storey bay with castellations, 2-light window and basement. Linking the 2 together is large semi-circular archway with zig-zag ornament carried on colonnettes. Hoodmould. Stepped crenellation surmounted by large unfinished finial.&#13;
