The church was started in 1750, the present church was build in 1859/60. At the back of the church was the Manse, but in 1890  it became a School. It is National Heritage Listed and is a Grade 2* listed building managed by the Historic Chapels Trust from 2004 and the Friends of Wainsgate.</text>

The Co-op was established in 1860, in rented premises and moved into a new shop in 1866. Note the glass structure which makes up the roof the room beneath which was used as the preactice room for Heptonstall band. Today the site is part of Weaver's Square.&#13;

The dark part is the earliest, it was extended to one side and then the other and then upwards. To the left of the mill you can see the town's gas holder.                 <text>The foreground of the photograph shows the terrace houses off Stubbing Holme Road, which are approached from a turning halfway up Bridge Lanes, Hebden Bridge. You can see the reflections of the terrace ends in the Rochdale Canal. The houses are built between the canal and the River Calder. The terrace to the left-hand side is of a row of "back-to-back houses, called Trinity Street. The other side of the "Back-to-back" houses and the facing terrace of "through" houses make up Eton Street. The next two rows of terraces compose Cambridge Street. The remaining terrace on the right is Oxford Street, the complementing facing houses of Oxford Street have not been built at the time of the photograph.</text>
