After closure the society joined with the Wesleyan chapel on Scout Road and became Mytholmroyd Methodist Church. A memorial plaque to those who died in the two Great Wars was removed from the Primitive Chapel and placed in the Scout Road chapel.

In turn in 2014 the Scout Road chapel closed and the congregation joined with Hebden Bridge Methodist Church to become Hebden Royd Methodist Church. The memorial plaques for both Zion and Mytholmroyd fallen were removed to St Michael’s Church, Mytholmroyd.

<text>Greenwood Lee House is a large yeoman clothiers’ house, Grade II* listed and perhaps one of the finest vernacular buildings in West Yorkshire. Although the porch bears the date 1712, it is recorded as having been sold twice in 1650. For a time it was in possession of the Sutcliffe family and in 1762 it was purchased at auction by Abraham Gibson. There was a rumour that Abraham was so drunk at the auction that he didn't know what he was doing.

Abraham ran a cotton spinning mill at Greenwood Lee and built on an extension to house a water wheel before moving down the valley to work at Gibson Mill. Gibson Mill was eventually given to the National Trust in the early 1950’s along with Gibson Mill. The Trust sold Greenwood Lee off and it is now in private ownership.

The position is magnificent, overlooking Hardcastle Crags, a National Trust area of outstanding natural beauty.</text>

From the 1897 Todmorden and Hebden Bridge Historical Almanack -

p57 "The first of February 1896, will long be remembered by the residents of Hebden Bridge, the occasion being the reception and formal presentation of an ambulance carriage to the town by Councillor Josiah Wade, of Halifax - a native of Hebden Bridge. Mr. Wade is well-known both in his native town and the town of his adoption as a large-hearted and generous man. The carriage is fitted-up with the most modern appliances, and capable of carrying two persons at a time. A procession of the local lodges of Odd-fellows and Foresters, fire brigade, ambulance carriage and ambulance men, and Hebden Bridge and Heptonstall brass bands, was formed at the station, and proceeded by way of Machpelah, Commercial-street, Bridge-gate, and Market-street to the top of Bridge-lanes. On returning a meeting was held in front of the White Lion Hotel, where Mr Wade presented the carriage to Mr. H. Clayton, the secretary, and Mr J. Haigh, the treasurer of the demonstration committee. In the evening a meeting was held in the Co-operative Hall, when the ambulance carriage was handed over to the District Council in the presence of a large assembly."

<text>The Cross Lanes Society was formed from two Methodist groups from Commercial Street, Hebden Bridge and Weaver’s Square, Heptonstall. They decided to join together and build a new chapel at a half way site, at the top of the Buttress. The land cost £289 4s 0d. Plans by Mr John Nicholson were accepted and the cost f building the chapel was £2,700. The chapel, which accommodated 700 worshippers, were opened in 1840. There was a large Sunday School and a day school. In the Great War 25 young men connected with the church lost their lives and the church began to decline. It closed in 1958. The building was destroyed by fire in 1965 and subsequently demolished. The graveyard is still there.</text>
