                <text>This Album contains images with notes on the Historic Homes of Yorkshire, a series of lectures first given to the Hebden Bridge Literary &amp;amp; Scientific Society by Mr. George Hepworth around 1916. An architect by profession, in 1894 he was a founder member of the Brighouse Photographic Society, and became a much sort after photographic artist and lanternist (someone who operates a magic lantern). He achieved wide popularity with his book 'Brighouse, its Scenery and Antiquities'; as only a 100 copies were published it has become something of a collectors item.               <text>Slide 2 - Burton Agnes came to the Boyntons through the marriage of Sir Matthew Boynton of Barmston with the daughter of Sir Henry Griffiths of Burton Agnes.&#13;&#13;Sir Francis Boynton of Barmston, son and successor of Sir Matthew Boynton succeeded to Burton Agnes and came to reside there in February 1654, on the death of his maternal uncle, Sir Henry Griffith, Bart. From that time forward successive baronets have lived on their paternal estates.&#13;&#13;This shows a view of the South front from a different standpoint.
